For my research paper, I will be examining the use of heroine in Vancouver to the patients. And whether it’s really safe or not exposing heroine to the patients. Is there possible alternative rather then injecting heroine into these addicts pulse? In small city of Vancouver, addicts could shoot up heroine under supervision of nurse without any problem which they refer to as insite. This is part of Harm Reduction Program for worst heroine addicts that has it’s origin in many countries in Europe. Most of the addicts feel comfortable  and positive about this program. However, Is this program really helping the addicts get off this drug. The executive director of the vision quest recovery society, mentions how it’s simply kind way of killing the addicts. The continue usage of these drug do nothing else but more harm to human body.

1.)Who knew heroine would soon be used to treat heroine addict patients? Heroin is one of the deadliest drug that does tremendous harm to human health. The use of heroine by patients must be eliminated to prevent further harm to patients health and help in keeping moral ethics. There are many countries such as Canada and many other in Europe which allow the world’s purest heroine to be used by the heroine addicts. Especially in a city called Vancouver, they have huge bunch of users. Have the doctors failed so much that they will let these patients slowly die in name of treatment. The governments have made it legal for any patient to shot heroine into their pulse as log as it’s done under medical supervision. This seems like something we all must be concerned of.

2.) There are so many heroine addicts who are suffering to be addict free and live healthy life once again. No matter how hard it is for patient to get rid of the habit, Is it ethical to give heroine to these patients to treat them. By giving heroine to heroine addict patient it won’t do any good but more harm to patients health and make them mentally depended upon it more. An alternate must be searched for in delicate case like this.

P1. We’ve talked about this topic enough for you to know my feelings on the idea, I think. It’s clear that the goal of the program is not to end addiction for these “hardest-case” addicts who get their daily doses of heroin (not heroine) from the city of Vancouver. The goal of the program is to reduce harm, first to the addicts (who without free heroin would be resorting to violent crime, prostituting themselves with unsafe sex, sharing dirty needles, otherwise compromising their health) and then to the city itself (by keeping addicts out of jail, out of emergency rooms, and out of trouble). Looked at that way, the program meets its goals. What remains counterintuitive about it is the way some people perceive the program (maybe also the way some people sell the program). It certainly seems illogical to cure addiction by giving addicts drugs.

It may help you, hiralp, but the purpose of this post is to make you 1) specify your working thesis, 2) Purposefully Summarize your first five sources so I can hear how you shape what you’re reading to prove a point, and 3) tell me How You Will Use this particular source to support your argument. You’ve met none of those objectives in this entry.

    Source 2.
That’s the first I’ve heard of a program to move these addicts to methadone.

    Source 3.
If your argument is that Insite has failed and should be replaced, this article might offer an alternative.

    Source 4.
Why can’t you tell me now whether you’ll use it to demonstrate one or the other?

    Source 5.
I agree you’ll benefit from a thorough description of exactly how the program is administered. If you’ve read it, does the experience it describes sound to you as if it helps more, or hurts more?

    Reply, please, hiralp.
